Photo of Dr. StineDr. Eric Stine was born in Rochester, Minnesota and grew up near Green Bay, Wisconsin. He received a B.S. degree from Carroll University outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and in 1998 received a D.D.S. degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He attended an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at The Ohio State University, receiving a M.S. degree in 2002. He served as a registrar in Sunderland, England as part of his residency program. The experience helped him gain insight into a national health care system as well as further his training in maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction.

Dr. Stine joined Centrasota Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2002. He is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and enjoys practicing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He was attracted to Minnesota both by the quality of the Centrasota practice and by his active pursuit of outdoor activities. Being part of a multi-doctor, broad-scope practice allows one to pursue the newest areas of oral surgery including orthognathic (jaw), dental alveolar, dental implants, maxillofacial trauma, and oral pathology. Dr. Stine was the first oral surgeon in the St. Cloud area to perform distraction osteogenesis, a recently-developed surgical procedure to induce bone growth so that implants can be placed to restore form and function.

While maintaining a busy clinic schedule, Dr. Stine has been very active in hospital, dental and civic activities. He has served as chairman of the Department of Dentistry at St. Cloud Hospital, and as president of the St. Cloud Dental Society. He is also involved with the Donated Dental program in Minnesota and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as the Minnesota Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Stine enjoys any and all outdoor activities including recreational sports, paddling in the BWCA as well as the Quetico wilderness, fishing and hunting. He also is an avid Green Bay Packer supporter.
